The Colonie Youth Center, Inc. (CYC) is a private non-profit corporation dedicated to enhancing the living experience for all people in the greater Capital Region. From school-age childcare and summer camps to counseling to our Rudy A. Ciccotti Family Recreation Center, CYC is proud to be a 501(c)3 not-for-profit organization annually serving 13,000 children and adults.
CYC’s School-Age ChildCare (SACC) Program -
provides nearly 1,000 children with before-school and after-school childcare at 13 North and South Colonie school locations as well as the Town of Colonie Community Center each school day. The SACC Program also provides school break camps and multiple full-day summer camp locations for residents and non-resident families. Our program gives children the opportunity to have fun, interact, socialize and engage in positive recreational activities. Children enjoy a variety of activities including arts and crafts, cooking, sports activities, dramatic play, and indoor and outdoor fun. As for school breaks and summer vacation; whether families need full day childcare while they are at work or the kids just want to have some fun with CYC and the rest of the kids, our camps are sure to please!
CYC’s Counseling Department-
provides counseling services to children, individuals, couples, and families in need of care and support. Whether situations involve youth, adults, couples or the entire family our staff of licensed mental health professionals are available to help. We offer one-on-one counseling with flexible hours and very affordable rates. Our talented and professional staff are available to provide workshops and presentations on a variety of topics including parenting, family issues, couple’s issues, anxiety and depression in children, bullying, separation and divorce, conflict resolution, and much more. Our goal is always to help a child, adult or family try to gain understanding, face struggles, overcome challenges, and find the resolve they need to move forward.
CYC’s Rudy A. Ciccotti Family Recreation Center (Ciccotti Center)-
meets the year-round recreation, health and wellness needs for Colonie and all of our surrounding communities. The aquatics facility offers the perfect place for swim lessons, group exercise programs, birthday parties and more. CYC’s Ciccotti Center also includes a top-of-the-line Fitness Center with 2 full-size gymnasiums, indoor jog/walk track, the latest fitness equipment, personal training, and an endless list of group exercise classes for every level. We have a wide range of community programs for both kids and adults including sports leagues, camps, aquatic programs and so much more. Memberships and day passes are available.
