How long have you been in business?
Since 1999.
What is your primary product or service?
Landscaping and home improvement services.
How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
I ran a small landscaping company to help put me through college and after I was finished with a business and English degree I became a newspaper reporter for nearly eight years (with four different area publications). During this time I continued operating it as a side business, but a few years ago I left the news industry to pursue running my own business full time and haven't looked back since!
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
We are a tech savvy company that focuses on customer satisfaction and the details surrounding any job whether it is mowing a lawn, plowing a driveway, or installing a stone staircase.
How many locations do you have and do you have plans to expand?
We are centrally located in Albany and hope to have a small retail store front and garage in the coming years somewhere along the Delaware Avenue corridor in the city. Our goal is to double our workforce within the next 3 to 4 years in order to better serve our customers.
What type of payments do you accept?
Currently we accept cash, checks, money orders, all major credit and debit cards, and online payments using your checking account.
Which areas do you service?
We service the Greater Capital District, which includes all of Albany and Schenectady counties and parts of Saratoga, Rensselaer, Schoharie, Montgomery and Greene counties.
Who owns your company or runs daily operations?
I personally oversee the day-to-day operations of the business, including much of the work performed by the company, and have a small staff of full and part-time employees.
What are your hours of operation?
We operate Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. until 6 p.m. because we respect our customer's personal time and their family time and we also work Saturdays from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. We are closed on Sundays because everyone needs a day off, including us.
What is the best compliment anyone can give you?
A simple "thank you," or "that looks great" is more than I could ever ask from a customer.
