We provide crate-free boarding with closed circuit video monitoring 24/7. Daisey?s is equipped with fire and security alarm service. There is an indoor exercise area for inclement weather. Daisey's Doggie Retreat was established in the summer of 2016.
What is your primary product or service?
We provide overnight dog kennel boarding and dog daycare services.All dogs have inside and outside runs plus we take the dogs into the play yard for extra exercise
How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
Both Steve and Ginny Ray have owned and raised dogs for most of their lives. A love of animals and dogs in particular inspired the establishment of Daisey's Doggie Retreat which is named after their beloved "Daisy". We also breed English Bulldogs.
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
Our focus is on your dog. As dog owners we understand how difficult boarding can be on both dog and "Dog Parent" . Our Missionis to provide a safe, secure and loving environment for your dog. We provide individualized attention to each animal, something you do not find in the larger boarding facilities. Our facility is spotless and climate controlled for your dog's comfort. We encourage owners to bring favorite toys and or bedding items to add an extra sense of homeyness while you are away. Our close circuit camera system and the fact that we live on the premises.
How many locations do you have and do you have plans to expand?
We have the one and only Daisey's Doggie Retreat location but already have plans to expand so that we can comfortably accommodate more of our canine friends. As our clientele grows we have the ability to expand the capacity of the kennel. We are now at the point where we are taking on a part time employee

Which areas do you service?
Our boarding kennel is convenient Albany, NY and all of Albany County including the Helderberg Escarpment hill towns west of Albany. We are also not far from Schenectady County communities like Guilderland, NY.
Who owns your company or runs daily operations?
The company is owned and operated by Steve and Ginny Ray. Ginny considers the boarding kennel her baby and loves to spend time with all of her canine boarders.
What are your hours of operation?
We are open 24/7, 365 days a year. Consult our website for pick up and drop off times between 7:30AM and 4:30 PM. We try to keep to those hours just to keep the facility running smoothly, but we can be flexible if necessary.
What is the best compliment anyone can give you?
The best compliment comes when out boarders tell us that their pets look forward to an outing to Daisey's Doggie Retreat
